Apologies for being a day late, sometimes life has other plans when you’re trying to put a newsletter together. Hopefully, it’s worth the wait, and we have a jam-packed edition for you this week.
The biggest event in the city this week is probably the New Orleans Film Festival, which we preview here. Look out for Causeway (pictured), a movie set in New Orleans and starring Jennifer Lawrence.
With the holidays fast approaching, we round up some cookbooks that might inspire you to expand your culinary horizons, not least of which is the new recipe book from Turkey and the Wolf’s Mason Hereford. You can win a copy of this AND the Al Copeland cookbook that we reviewed here - see below!
We also review The Ballad of Perilous Graves, a new novel from local author Alex Jennings, and the satirical movie The Triangle of Sorrow starring Woody Harrelson.
Of course, we also have highlights of the next seven (OK, six) days of cultural happenings in the city.
We have copies of Turkey And The Wolf: Flavor Trippin’ in New Orleans AND Secrets of a Tastemaker: Al Copeland, The Cookbook Recipes & Spicy Delicious Memories to give away! To win, just follow us on Twitter OR share a link to any one of our features on your social media and tag us (@outalldaynola on Twitter or Up All Night & Out All Day: New Orleans on Facebook). A winner will be chosen at random, you can enter up to midnight on Tuesday November 8th.
Thanks for reading, whatever you’re up to this week, be safe and have a good one. Until next week. Much love.
