I was working in Mexico last week and while grocery shopping, I heard a lilting acoustic guitar over the PA and the tune sounded familiar and then I realized that it was a Mexican folk version of Wham’s Last Christmas. What a way to get Whamageddon-ed*. On December 1st as well. Sneaky. For some alternative December music, see our round up of new tunes by the cream of our local talent, including Hurray For The Riff Raff (pictured, below). We also have a first night review of witchy origin story ‘Wicked’ AND your seven-day diary of increasingly festive events - Luna Fête and The Greenway Supernova are among the bright lights this month. Check out the News section for upcoming specials, too, including rooftop s’mores, block parties and more restaurant updates.
