As we said last week, we’re taking a week’s hiatus, but I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the support that you’ve all shown (both financial and moral, and in some cases, emotional), and I’m excited to start a new ‘season’ of OAD next week. We’ll be expanding the editorial team and bringing you more coverage, as well as more video content (so consider subscribing on YouTube if you don’t want to miss that).
If you’re a writer, get in touch! We’re looking for theater and restaurant reviewers, arts and culture writers, people with stories and/or strong opinions on the city…email us at outalldaynola@gmail.com with your ideas and writing clips and let’s see if we can work together.
Finally, a shout-out to our generous sponsors for the last year. The Bed and Breakfast Inns of New Orleans is a wonderful collection of properties that are both legal and licensed and run by local hosts. Staying at these beautiful properties really helps the local economy, and not absentee hosts that live in other cities, so if you have people coming into town, or want a memorable staycation, check out bbnola.com for the full portfolio - there’s truly something for everyone.
Also, the wonderful New Orleans Ice Cream Company for sponsoring the diary. NOICC produce delicious, all natural, ultra-premium ice cream - available in the freezer section of your local grocery store (see stockists and all of their flavours here!). They’re very generous sponsors of the arts around town, so a huge thanks to them.
As always, if you’re feeling generous and want to support our freelance budget, just $5 for a year’s reading helps a lot, and you can Venmo @shandypockets or PayPal: paul.oswell@gmail.com. All donations are welcome and go to paying our writers.
We’ll be back next week for a new year of features, thanks to you! Until next time, much love.
Paul O
