Have you recovered from Christmas and New Year and travel chaos and the big freeze? Good, because you have about 15 seconds to catch your breath before we dive headlong into Carnival season. This Friday is, as I’m sure you know, Twelfth Night, and with that comes the first parades - the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc and the Phunny Phorty Phellows kicking off the party.
In this edition, we also review the wonderful immersive play from Goat in the Road, The Family Line, and we settled into the atmospheric new whodunnit staring Christian Bale (as a detective with one Edgar Allan Poe as a sidekick), The Pale Blue Eye.
A very Happy New Year, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing this week. Happy Carnival, and much love.
