We’re with you a day late - there’s not much beyond platitudes that an unimportant local events newsletter can add to the tragedy of yesterday, but just to say I hope that you and all of your people are doing as well as possible. Kindness and community are the things that help the most at times like this, and I wish you the very best of both of these things - now especially, but for all of 2025. If you need some distraction during a rough time, we’ve rounded up January’s event highlights, as well as the stage shows coming up this month. We also have Todd Perley reviewing the new play ‘Human Troubles’, and we talk to writer and founder of the Streetcar Collective company, Mariana Santiago. There’s also the weekly diary and lots of king cake news. Sincerely sending love to you and yours,
Paul Oswell
