BOY it’s been a week. A two-day overseas travel itinerary just took me four days, with two extra surprise legs, AND my case is still missing, so you’ll forgive the short but sweet newsletter. We’re also transitioning into the new model with new writers, and hoping to roll that out in full next Wednesday.
We do have one new voice this week for you, Marielle Songy checking out new bistro on the West Bank that seeks to deliver something of the Parisian Left Bank. Read her review of Tonti’s Hand French Bistro here.
We also have a longer read - a deep dive into the hotel that defined New Orleans for a century, but alas no longer exists. Have you heard of the St Charles? It was the nation’s first great hotel, and you can read about its colorful history right here.
As always, we also have your seven-day cultural highlights, a day late (apologies, Wednesday!) but raring to go with lots of good stuff. You can see that here.
OK, I’m off to interrogate Thai airport officials about, well, ALL of my clothes. I look like it’s well past laundry day. Until next time, take it easy and much love to you!
