As much as the summers can be a trial here in New Orleans, some people in the city do at least try and keep things a jot more bearable. The restaurants come together to fight the summer slump with Coolinary New Orleans (highlights here), and a few of the larger museums offer Art & A/C at weekends in August. It’s sweaty outdoors, but we can at least eat and look at art in the relative cool and for a lot less money and/or for free.
This week, we also check into and review the Catahoula Hotel, get messy at Mukbang Seafood, look at another day in the life of a New Orleanian in Out One Day (this week, the colorful showgirl Vivacious Miss Audacious) and we’ve got the usual round-up of the city’s cultural highlights in the Diary.
We should be back in your inbox every Wednesday again - a sincere thank you for reading, and much love to you, wherever you are right now.
